Anatolian Fortress
Anatolian Castle, mostly known as Anadolu Hisarı, is a medieval fortress constructed by Ottoman Sultan Yıldırım Bayezid on the Asian side of Istanbul. The fortress was designed strategically, to control the Bosphorus and manage the Byzantine - Ottoman wars.
At present, Anadolu Hisarı also appeals to visitors because of the history of the place as well as looking at lovely surroundings. The atmosphere of the castle is relaxed, but combined with opportunities of getting to know the history of Istanbul, very attractive for tourists and city’s residents.
