Temple of Apollo in Didyma
The great place of antiquity, the Temple of Apollo at Didyma, lies in Turkey not far from the ruins of the ancient city of Miletus. Originated in the 4th century BC and built for the god Apollo, it had an oracle that was famous and attracted a number of visitors who sought his guidance.
Among the striking architectural features, this temple is most famous for elegantly carved reliefs and a large colonnade.
